Treatments

Each dog is different and each day is different, so each session will be tailored to your dog's individual needs. Treatments take place in your home so your dog is in a familiar environment where it is easier to relax. I will always work with your dog, and go at their pace, respecting their own unique personality, to gain trust and build a strong bond so they know they are in safe hands.

Results are usually seen in 1-3 sessions and best results are seen if these are done over 3-5 weeks. I follow best practice, so if your dog has not responded to the treatment in this time, I will refer you back to your vet for further investigation.

Prior to treatments commencing I will require a Veterinary consent form to be completed by your vet. This is to comply with the Veterinary Act 1966 and Veterinary Exemptions Order 2015 and I am unable to treat any dog without it.

Prices: First session including consultation  £40.00 (1.5 hours)  Follow up sessions £35.00 (1 hour)

Travel costs may be extra depending on distance, this will be discussed at time of booking

Session One

This is the session where I get to know your dog. It will take approximately 1.5 hours and before starting the massage I will undertake a:

  • Full consultation including medical history, your dog's habits and lifestyle
  • Gait and Postural analysis to assess how your dog moves/stands/sits
  • Muscle palpation to assess tissue health, injury and areas of concern

This gives me an indication of which areas I need to focus my attention.   After the session I will provide feedback on my findings and aftercare advice.

Subsequent sessions include a review to discuss how your dog has been and any changes you have noticed.

I will tailor each session for your dog and will use a range of techniques including Swedish, Deep Tissue and Sports massage, as well as direct and indirect myofascial release.

Aftercare advice will be given on what you can do to help your dog  and take approximately 1 hour. After the course of 3 sessions I will send your vet a report for their records.

Maintenance

After the initial 3 sessions, maintenance treatments can be scheduled to continue the work done so that any underlying issues can be addressed before they become a problem, and to help your dog maintain flexibility, mobility and comfort. They can help dogs senior dogs, or dogs suffering with orthopaedic and neurological conditions maintain their comfort levels, and help sporting dogs improve their performance.

Maintenance sessions will vary from dog to dog.  As this therapy is results driven, I will never book more sessions than are needed, and will work with you and your dog to find the right frequency.
